For over 1 week now I have asked some question on the contact us page and no one answered me. Also the phone # don't work is this site for real.

can i get sum help? i bought 4 24v kits having trouble!

We are a small company and I try to answer all questions personally. I am available from 10-6 CST m-f. Many days I am on the phone helping customers the entire day so I cannot always get to all of the phone calls. The directions I am now currently writing have a change from EVA encapsulant to the new Solar Epoxy UV encapsulant.

Please note that the directions are being modified soon and you need to ignore the part about siliconing the cells to the glass and ignore the EVA instructions.

The new epoxy is better and easier. Just place the bottles in warm water for 30 minutes to make it mix easier. The pour bottle H into a separate container that can be later thrown away. Follow by pouring bottle R into the same container and mix with a wooden paint stirring stick for about two minutes making sure that you scrape the sides and bottom of the container and scraping the material off the wood stick as well. Pour the mixture evenly over the back of your finished solar panel and spread the mixture just a little to even it out. It will self level and encapsulate the solar cells and glue them to the glass as well as coating the electrical wires. Make sure the solar panel is absolutely level. You have about 30 minutes of working time and then the panel needs to set up for at least 8 hours. After, it is set up your panel is finished and ready to be put into operation.

I am interested in starting a solar project with 2 of your 120 watts panels kits, now these kits are complete only need the glass. What about other parts that is need do you supply them such as Charge controller, Inverter and deep cycle Battery. Do I need any other parts for a stand alone project? Also do you provide tech. support as we build and want to expand our project?

We provide email and phone support 10-6 CST. There are many components such as wire, conduit, brackets, screws, etc. that are needed to complete an installation. Each installation is unique and requires different components. I cannot begin to answer your question fully because I do not know the extent or needs of your project. If you can be more specific I wil be glad to answer any question.

I had a few questions that I emailed Gregg and he came back with next day responses that were spot on. I would like to share them just in case anyone has similar questions.

The first was about the grid tie inverters sold here;

"Why is it that only one can be put on a circuit? Is it because it will limit the amount of protection that the circuit breaker can provide for all the conductors on the circuit? If this is the case if i had a dedicated branch circuit with conductors properly sized and a dedicated circuit breaker could i put more than one on a 20 amp rated outlet?"

Gregg explained that as a precaution he recommends only one per circuit as some users have reported that having multiples can make the others go on standby, as well as possibly create a fire hazard (if you are pulling 18 amps from the utility on 20 amp rated wire (insulation) there isn't a problem, but when you pull 18 amps from the utilities and another 8 from the solar panels your wire can heat up)

My other question was;

"Also i suppose they (the inverters) sync with the phase they are on, so if i plugged one on to each phase of a double pull breaker would it provide power on both phases? what happens if the power goes out and two separate phases powered individual by grid tie inverters? Would they still be able to maintain 180 degrees of electrical separation?"

Gregg responded "Yes, you can put the inverters on the different phases in the panel. NO, they will not provide power if the grid goes down because they are monitoring the sync and shut down immediately if no sync is present. This is a safety feature so no one gets electrocuted. This information applies to the small grid tie inverters. There are other grid tie inverters that will disconnect from the grid if there is a problem and go to battery backup seamlessly. You can obtain these in 110V or 220V single/dual phase. These are much more expensive $3000-$10,000. I use a dual 110V synchronized to 220V with batteries in my home system.You cannot power a home directly from solar panels that do not have a grid tie or batteries backup because the sun exposure varies so widely with clouds and other factors that your system would be constantly shutting on and off and browning out causing electronics failure."

i am just getting started on my first panel. going with your 3x6 cells. not sure but from what my literature is showing they are using 30 cells. can you tell me what the deal is regarding the number of cells n the panel- i am assuming that the panel output would have to match house current of 120 volts- is is that not right?

No, your panel current is DC 15V and your house current is 110V AC. You will need an inverter to change the panel Voltage in order to tie to the grid or a different type of inverter to power applianes. Which are you planning to do?
